The London Taxi Board – investing in the Capital’s taxi trade

The London Taxi Board (LTB) has one objective – to provide the best taxi service in the world for London’s travelling public and visitors alike. For over 30 years the LTB has been working with all relevant stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, investors, manufacturers, drivers and above all passengers, to ensure the Capital retains a viable and sustainable taxi industry.
We campaign vigorously on issues which materially affect the trade, with the ultimate aim of ensuring that London’s taxi passengers continue to receive the highest quality taxi service they deserve.
LTB has also been at the forefront when it comes to issues such as disability awareness, passenger safety and security and the integration of taxis with other transport systems in London.

London Taxi Board exists to:

  • maintain the standards of quality that define the best taxi system in the world;
  • ensure that London’s taxi service meets the changing needs of the Capital;
  • work toward improving the environment of the industry for both passengers and drivers;
  • maintain a recognisable, affordable, viable and sustainable London taxi service;
  • retain the virtues and proud traditions of London’s taxi trade in the 21st century.
